The Oricon survey firm reports that the fourth volume of the Bakemonogatari anime series is the top-selling television anime Blu-ray Disc in Japan so far. It sold 48,000 copies to top the previous recordholder — volume 3 at 41,000 copies in November. For all anime Blu-ray Discs, it only trails the  film, which sold 49,000 copies in its first week. There are a lot of Best Anime Series to watch. Some can easily be placed in cable television, as Naruto: Shippuden. While others can be viewed with the purchase of DVDs from overseas or comic shop, or look on the World Wide Web, many programs get their start in the manga (Japanese comics and print cartoons). Others, like the original Pokémon anime occur on a whim. Cartoon is a term that once referred to art during the Renaissance. Somehow, however, implies that the term has evolved (or devolved depending on how you look) in humorous illustrations and witty and, finally, entertainment programs designed to entertain people, mostly children. Indeed, the clarity, the term comics in this article refers to entertainment programs. Recently, however, a new term has been coined: Anime. And the distinction between a confusion of these two has caused.
